Fundraisers

New for the 2011-12 season, this raffle based fundraiser will have massive payouts. Tickets are £1 each and a draw is made every Saturday home game at 5:30pm. The winner receives £10 and has the chance to pick a card from the pack for more winnings.

If you pick an ace you win an extra £1 (£11 total), a Two £2, Three £3 etc… Jack £11, Queen £12 and King £15. If you pick out the joker you win the Joker Jackpot which raises by hopefully an extra £50 to £100 every time it is not picked.

Tickets will be for sale on Supporters Club buses and away venues and in BarAmber at all home games. Please see a SC representative or Thomasina Farley for more information.

The safecracker is a weekly draw that has been run by the club for some years now - that has the potential to net you some serious prize money.  For a £1 a week subscription, you are allocated a number in the draw.  If you are lucky enough that your number is pulled out you win a £25 instant prize and get a chance at "turning the key".  There are 8 keys, but only one lock - can you pick the right key?  If you do, you win an additional £25 minimum.  If you fail, the prize keeps rolling over until the safe has been cracked!

The "£ a point" club is the latest idea from the Supporters Club to raise funds for the playing budget.  What we are looking for is for individual supporters to sponsor the team £1 for every league point we achieve this season. Quite simply, supporters who join will pay:

£3 if the club win a league game
£1 if the club draw
£0 for a defeat (hopefully not too many of these!)

We are keen to keep the feel-good factor of the previous season going and so if we do well, the more points we get on the pitch, the bigger the budget that is available which we hope will act in a "snowball effect" to keep the momentum going.

If, for example we have another season like 2009/10 (103 pts) it would mean that each supporter in the scheme will pay £103 into the fund over the course of the season. Realistically that isn't going to happen, but if the County can reach the following targets we can raise the following for the Club:

50 pts x 100 members = £5,000
50 pts x 200 members = £10,000

This is a serious amount of money and it can certainly make a huge difference to the fortunes of the club on the pitch.  We urge as many supporters as possible to please join the scheme and help the Club in the quest back to the Football League. The Guess the Score competition has been running for donkeys years now and fundraises approximately £25 a week. Before the game you pay a quid and you have to correctly guess the final score and County goal scorers in any order. With defenders often popping up with goals and throwing spanners in the works, the GTS prize kitty can and has often gone over the £200 mark. Since it has began, Guess the Score has raised well over £10,000 for the club.

All competitions provide a great deal of money for good causes and good fun. In some cases supporters have found these competitions a return on investment. Want to have a go, see one of our gorgeous committee members on a match day (usually pushing around a clipboard!)
